Health Care Reform: An Initial Check-Up

Monday, June 14, 2010

Livestream: With a Keynote Address by Indiana Governor Mitchell E. Daniels Jr.

How will the new healthcare law impact those who must pay for it? On June 15, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., watch an in-depth discussion of the costs and consequences of the health overhaul on U.S. economic growth, federal and state government budgets, labor market decisions, and private health insurance coverage. Panelists will also focus on the various implementation challenges and burdens faced by employers who account for the overwhelming share of private health coverage.

Over lunch, Indiana Governor Mitchell Daniels will discuss the impact of the new federal law on healthcare market reforms at the state level where state officials face severe fiscal pressures, including managing the state’s Medicaid program.

Video of the event will be posted on AEI.org shortly. Find more information here.
