Obama’s Impact on the Economy

In a new Fox News poll, 39 percent of registered voters polled thought Barack Obama had the best experience to fix the economy, but 46 percent said Mitt Romney did. Those responses probably reflect dissatisfaction with the president’s performance on the economy. In the poll, 37 percent of respondents said the economic policies of the Obama administration had hurt the economy, 31 percent helped, and 31 percent not made much of a difference either way. In a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, 76 percent of those polled said the country was still in a recession. Only 21 percent said it was over. An even higher 88 percent said that based on their own personal experience, the recession wasn’t over.
