Smaller Government?

In the new ABC News/Washington Post poll, 56 percent of respondents said they favored a smaller government with fewer services, while 40 percent said they wanted a larger government with more services. Those responses are almost exactly the average of all the times in the past quarter-century in which the pollsters have asked the question. When asked, however, about President Obama’s views, 77 percent of Americans said they think he prefers a larger government with more services, while only 15 percent said they think he favors a smaller one.
